Professor Hu Angang, a well-known expert on decision-making, elaborated his own view on how "National Happiness" reflects development. He believed that "National Happiness" is a very important connotation, and it is more meaningful than “GDP”. He stated that when China becomes the world's second largest economy, the issue of “how to make Chinese with over one billion population happier” will become a very important development goal.
